WOW! That doesn't seem like a big enough word for how I felt after today's meet. AMAZING! TERRIFIC! FANTASTIC! Okay - I think you get the idea.
The morning started off with the 7 year olds - and they kicked butt! Almost everyone got a medal, including Rebecca getting 1st All Around & 1st on floor and Caroline getting 1st on vault! Again, WOW! The middle session was the 10 year olds and Emma got a medal on bars! Way to go, Emma! Then the 8 year olds...
I am so amazed by the grace and confidence exuded by our girls at every meet! Anna's first event was beam. She scored 8.625 (really good, considering she didn't do the correct dismount). Next was floor, where she scored 9.175, then vault with a 9.2 and last, bars where she scored a season high 9.15.
She received medals in all events except beam:
Vault: T-7th
Bars: T-4th (highest place on bars all season!)
Floor: 9th
All Around: 9th
Congrats on a great season!

My Not-So-Big Big Boy
Jake had his 11 year old check up and this is where is stands (literally and figuratively)...66.4 pounds (15%) and 54.75 inches (30%)...meaning...he's a little guy with BIG energy! Dr. Sato, when asking him what his activities are, what food he eats, and whether he fights with his sister, reminded me that he is ALL BOY and extremely normal in his eating habits, etc. I guess he'll start trying new things some day...

Sunday Funday
Every once in a while, Sundays get to be fun and all about family - today was one of those days!
First, Anna's class at Sunday school received their prayer books and local artist, Tsila Schwartz (who designed our ketubah) wrote their Hebrew names on the inside cover. Then they prepared for their mock wedding (they are learning about life cycle events) by decorating the ketubah and chupah. Every child participated in the "ceremony" - Anna said a prayer. After the wedding, there was a "reception" which included a layered cake and some other goodies. All-in-all, it was a very well done event!
Then we spent some quality time outside, seeing as we finally got a nice warm day in Chesterfield (almost 70 degrees)! Jake and Andy didn't want to join us...their loss! Anna rode her bike on the blacktop at a local elementary school and then played on the monkey bars...
